Is it ok to get it done if I have old highlights or will it ruin my hair?

it depends on your hair. i dont think the damage would be that bad on highlights though. my friend rebonded her bleached hair and it really turned porous. but nevertheless, chemical straightening would more of less damage your hair. the damage may not be that obvious to totally ruin your hair, but one thing i can be sure is that it would fade your highlights.

chemical hair straightning is horrible. my aunte has it and her hair is super ugly. So just stick to the iron.

well i have met a lady that had it done and she had highlights and it was fine on her. it is costly and it does take a long time but the results are worth it

Dude, chemical straightening is horrible. I ran into this chick at the mall that had it done and it ruined the ends of her hair. They were all frizzy and sticking out. And you can just tell if someone has had their hair chemically straightened. It's not appealing.
