When straightening hair with a flat iron, is it better to use a lower heat setting and go over your hair a few times, or a higher heat setting and go over your hair once or twice?

It Depends On The Thickness Of Your Hair.

If You Have Lots Of Layers Or Really Thick Hair, Use The Higher Heat Setting 1-2 Times On Each Layer To Ensure A Straight Style.

If You Have Thinner Hair, Using The High Heat Level Is Faster, But Can More Easily Damage Your Hair Depending On The Type Of Straightener You Have. If You Straightener Isnt Really Good, Go For The Lower Heat Level 3 Times.

It doesn't really matter. I you want to take time on it, low heat. But if you are in a rush, high heat. But just remember to condition your hair everyday and do it thoroughly.

I'm always use the highest setting on my straightener, and if you want a really good one try the ultra chi. it is a little expensive but definitely worth the money.

It depends on how healthy your hair is. If it's fine and delicate, I wouldn't use it too hot. If it's strong and thick, hotter is better.

high heat if u use a low setting it will take so much more longer. i know i dont like standing in front of that mirror straighting my hair longer then 15 mins lol i dont know bout u. but if u do that u might wanna try a hair product that protects ur hair from the heat damage i use got2b crazy sleek hair lotion and protects from the blow dryer and straightner i love that stuff it really works ha. good luck and hope i helped

a low heat setting. that way your hair wont be as damaged. even with a low setting your hair will still straighten pretty fast. if you notice that your hair feels different ( like straw feeling ) use Pantene shampoo + conditioner. it will get it back to normal fast!
