I recently just bought
TRESemme's Straightening Gel
Has anyone ever used this product before?
If so, how does it work on your hair?
Do you like it?
I'm not quite sure what my feelings are to this product.
Also, what kind of product is their that will make my extremely curly and frizzy hair smooth and silky after I straighten it?
I want smething affordable.
And something I can get nearby like at a CVS store.
Thank you.

HERE TO HELP AND ANSWER
Don't use Tresemmes Straighting Gel it left my hair sticky dry and stiff.
L'Oreal Studio Heat Seeker Hot Straight and FX Straight and Shiny Anti Frizz Hair Serum work great and are sold like at CVS very affordable.
After you straighten try using FXSilk Drops Shine Serum. I have used all these products and have had great results.
I have asked about straightening products and people use to give me the same answer it was so frustrating

No goopy straightener has ever worked for me! I have curly-wavy frizzy hair. What works the best me is to use some kind of anti-frizz cream when hair is damp. Don't use the liquidy stuff, it'll leave your hair greasy. Invest in a hair straigtener. Probably a little over your budget, but if your hair is anything like mine, no goop alone will straighten your hair! I like Revlon's straightener, the white one. It gets hotter than any other I've tried.
Don't want to get a straightener? Back before they were invented, my mother used to IRON her hair all by herself! She has tiny little ringlet curls. I've done this before, but I recommend help with that one.

I acutally work at a hair salon- Here to tell you couple of ways to keep your hair nice ( its part of job- truly). Chi is a nice Iron but the reason is becasue its a FULL ceramic iron (not coated) and they actually straighten alot better and quicker- so any full ceramic iron is good it does less damage. There are other ones out there too. (Their more expensive but they Really Do make a difference- and that's why stylists use them)
Note: If you have really FINE HAIR use less heat the the thincker the hair the more heat you can use.
Also if your worried about damage it always good to use a heat protectant before you straighten even before blow drying. Also try some fortaying shampoo or repartaive if you have been using heat tools. ( Not for to long- but long enough to get your hair healthy) If you use to much protein for too long - that can make you hair brittle.
Straighting Products:
Sleek Look- from Matrix (Extreame styling cream)
Straighting Balm- from KMS ( heat protectant too )
Ultra Straight - from Rekin
All of these are really nice, and won't make your hair look bad- but nice shiny and best of all FRIZZ free.
Hope that helps!

I haven't used TRESemme's straightening gel. I work at CVS, and I bought Frizz-Ease's Straight Answer spray. You can get it there for $5.99. You spray it on towel dried hair before you blow dry it. Then straighten your hair. If you would like any product to de-frizz your hair, I would recommend that brand. I also bought Redken's Spray Starch (#15) to use while I am straightening my hair. It works REALLY well. My beautician used it, so I bought it at the salon in my local Wal-Mart. It costs around $10 or less.
