Info on permanately straightening hair?

I am wanting to get my very curly hair permanately straightened. Has anyone had this done before? Does it last? Can you get it wet?

i did that, i lot of times. there's HAIR RELAXING. they put the straightening chemical, then BLOWDRY your hair, then put another chemical.. thus, the result is a blowdried-hair look. this will last for about 4 months, before the natural, curly hair starts to grow back.

then there's HAIR REBONDING, they put chemicals, then IRON the hair, then put chemicals again. This would be long lasting, around 7months, though your hair might look like unnaturally straight and heavy.

after both these processes, you wet your hair after 4 days, just so to keep the chemicals working. then it would be preferrable to shampoo%26amp;conditioner your hair once after 2 or 3 days (so the chemicals wont be washed off easily)

i did this...if your hair gets wet it will get frizzy..

...but once you blow dry it..it will go straight again..

..also it lasts a different amount of time for everybody..

..it depends how fast your natural hair grows to when you need to re-relax it.

most people can have their hair straighten with no problems for up to 3 months...but i have to re relax every 4 weeks coz my hair grows so fast..

...also relaxing makes the hair thin (coz its chemically straightened) so if you dont re-relax when you need it all the straight hair will break off from all the strain of the thick curly hair you naturally have...but also if you were to relax it too much..(the recommended amount is 4-6weeks minimum wait) then you may lose all your hair due to over chemically unbalancing your hair and also coz it would be too thin and very weak

umm... dont do that i dont have culry hair and still wanted permantly straightned hair but, when u think about it, its really bad!!! it really wrecks your hair so dont do it!!1 hope i helped u to decide!!!

Hi

Before u start to strengthen yr hair u should ask yr self

1-are yr hair strong and healthy enough to do it cause let me tell u

2-that strengthen is v. strong product that might leave yr hair so week later on

3-it well be nice for v. short period and when yr hair start to grow up just a little that will be in 2 months u will notice that that rote will grow curl and the rest of yr hair will appear lease. So r u ready for that

4-if u want to have strengthen hair u cant do it again before 6 month

excuse me if am little hard i didn閳ユ獩 mean so but I did strengthen my hair and I regret it cause it kills my hair and finally curly hair is not bad people are looking for a product hot have

I have mine done and I cannot live without it as it is so much easier to care for! My hair is naturally wavy/curly with a tendancy to frizz. Mine lasts around 6 months and doesn't go frizzy even on holiday in humidity. I do use good hair products and a leave in conditioner for extra protection but can leave the gym with wet hair and it stays in style without frizz. Make sure that you use a good and trusted hairdresser though, who knows you hair and will advise if the product is not suitable. Good luck
