Home hair straightening kits?

I recently saw a home hair straightening kit in Boots and wondered if they are any good or if they damage and dry your hair? My hair is quite wavy and I strighten it most days so thought chemically straightening it might be a good option.

The one from boots is excellent.I bought it but only after did i read it cant be used on coloured hair so i gave it to my mum.It really worked and her hairs still shiny and healthy.

Ive never heard of this one but I use Ogilvie hair straightener, about $8 and it lasts about 3 months..easy to use but smells kinda bad

thinks like that can make your hair fall out if your not careful so go to a hairdresser if you want to keep your own hair instead of wearing a wig

Try to stay away from these products. The chemistry is really hard on the hair, and the results aren't always what you hoped for.

It will damage your hair. I wouldn't suggest it. They dry your hair out, much worse than a perm does. Unless you plan on doing weekly moisture treatments and taking excellent care, don't do it. Chances are, you'll STILL have t blowdry it strait anyway. (cuz you'll still have SOME wave)
