Tips for straightening hair??

I have wavy/frizzy shoulder length hair. I've been thinking about starting to straighten it and was wondering if anyone could give me some steps to take to make it look good! Thanks!!

Tips for straightening hair??

sure i have the same hair type and I use bed head get the frizz out gel and a straightening iron, mine is a wet to dry iron. u can use it on damp hair or dry hair doesnt matter. it has a temp thing u set it to a number and it will know how straight u want ur hair to be. it usually takes me around 30 to 45 minutes to do my hair. maybe u should try it. I LOVE MINE. good luck.

Tips for straightening hair??

Invest in a GHD hair straightner and a good hair dryer. It is the best way to get your hair straight.

Tips for straightening hair??

get a straightening comb

Tips for straightening hair??

well if u have curly curly hair thne u might want to try a straighting iron but dont have it on to long cuz it might burn ur and then it look al frizy and messed up

Tips for straightening hair??

Yes I have a great tip for straightening hair! Get a Chi straightener. They are expensive, well around $100ish but they work incredibly. My hair is not very wavy but my sister-in-law's is very wavy/frizzy and she just uses that and a hair straightening serum from big sexy hair and she looks like her was always naturally straight. I use a chi as well and I love it!

Hair Straitening is ok...

But i advise you to take Hair Rebond...

it is more beautiful and Shinning result.

it is too way better trust me...

after taking a Procedure like that follow it with Hot Oil or Hair Renue

Tips for straightening hair??

Try using the new pantene products that treat and condition your hair. Also a hot oil treatment every now and then would help. Use a conditioning spray and a ceramic hair straightener.

Tips for straightening hair??

Find a hairdresser that is willing to do a newer technique known as texturizing. It works wonderful and it gives you the option of wearing it straight or wearing it naturally wavy without the frizz...

I believe it is a chi product.... i use chi's conditioner, shampoo and a leave in moisterizer...

Girl i know how the hair gets after you flat iron it or hot comb it and then thirty minutes outside in the wind and hot sun, its back to being frizzy and big.. :)

But don't let anyone straighten the hair bone straight. if you've never had a relaxer consult first. Only a good person will consult first. Do not let them keep it on your hair for longer than 20 mintues... that's a myth...

Good luck... remember lots of oils and stay away from heavy greeses, biosilk and paul mitchell makes some nice conditioning products for the hair that keeps it light and not weighed down. Also if you use a flat iron try beyone the zone heat protectant... its wonderful

Tips for straightening hair??

to straighten it is so very easy!

buy a perm (any perm) and put it on your head and INSTEAD of rolling it up....CONSTANTLY comb your hair straight down.... constantly. then rinse as usual... it works great for me and i have done this a few times.

i always buy ammonia free perms cuase i HATE that smell!!!

anyway... there is my suggestion and it really does work so easy!

Tips for straightening hair??

I have the same problem: wavy/frizzy hair.

Step 1: Use a good shampoo and conditioner: Matrix brand is great. You can get it at your local salon.

Step 2: After washing your hair, apply a hair straightener to it. This substance is similar to lotion. Aveda (straight up) is good. I also like Avon as it is much cheaper!

Step 3: Blow dry your hair while using a paddle brush to brush it straight.

Step 4: Use a flatiron (a girls best friend!).

Tips for straightening hair??

I WOULD RECCOMEND BUYING A PERM AT THE LOCAL DEPARTMENT STORE, APPLYING THE PERM PROCEDURE TO YOUR HAIR, FIRST STEP INSTEAD OF HAVING CURLERS IN YOUR HAIR JUST PUT THE SOLUTION IN YOUR HAIR, COMB IT STRAIGHT, LEAVING IT FOR THE ALLOTED TIME ,THEN RINSE IT OUT AS IT INSTRUCTS YOU TO DO, THEN PUT THE NUETRALIZER IN AS DIRECTED AND WAIT THE DIRECTED TIME, THIS SHOUDL GIVE YOU STRAIGHT HAIR OR MINIMALLY WAIVY HAIR DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY OF YOUR CURLS. THEN I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING YOUR HAIR CUT INTO A STYLE EASY TO WORK WITH IN CASE YOUR HAIR IS NOT AS STRAIGHT AS YOU INTENDED SO YOU COULD USE A STORE BOUGHT STRAIGHTENING IRON TO MAKE IT AS STRAIGHT AS YOU WANT IT TO BE. BUT WITH THIS PROCESS AT LEAST IT WILL TAKE A LOT OF THE CURL OUT IF NOT ALL, THE ONLY LET DOWN OF THAT IS THAT IT WONT LAST FOREVER, MAYBE 2-3 MONTHS AND THEN AT LEAST IF YOU LIKED THE OUTCOME THEN YOU WILL BE ALBE TO DO IT AGAIN.

Part you hair in four sections so it should look like this

( + ) pretend that is the back of your head and those are your parts. Place all of them of them in a individual pony tail except of the front right pony tail. seperate the hair little by little and straighten with a small flat iron ( ceramic) it and as you go roll up the hair...so it's not in your way...

Do this for the front left as well... and the back... you might need help in the back

Tips for straightening hair??

i have the same hair. i bought a Chi Straightener and it helped inmensely! other straightening tips would be to blow dry it straight. also you might want to get highlights, those would look gorgeuos

by the way, you could also chemically straighten it

Tips for straightening hair??

First, trim your ends, this will help make your hair look healthier once its straightened plus get rid of some of the fizz. Next, invest in a leave in conditioner so your hair doesn閳ユ獩 lose its moister through the straightening process. Always make sure your hair is dry before straightening it, blow dry your hair. Then, invest in a ceramic hair straighter. Ceramic is the best to use, at least from my experience. The best one I fount was Golden Hot; it has different heat settings and gives your hair that shiny look. Or you can go to the hair dressers and have them hot comb your hair straight (this depends on how thick your hair is). Good luck !!

Tips for straightening hair??

put some heat resistant produst on it to control frizz

blow dry

straiten hair one section at a time(u can divide it with hair ties)

brush out

put a couple squrts shine spray in

and it lookes really helthy and shiny and no frizz but if yor hair is really frizzy u can use frizz-ease it works real good

Tips for straightening hair??

Ok defiantly a subject that I know lol. First get a ceramic hair flat iron. I suggest getting one from a beauty supply store, and while your there get a good leave in hair treatment to put in your hair just before you straiten your hair,(it protects your hair from frying it) then, do not straiten your hair while its wet, unless you get the wet to dry flat iron, or you may fry your hair. Nexed take small sections of your hair at a time, putting the rest of your hair up. start from the top, go slow all the way to the ends of your hair. Continue this step til your finished. Good luck!

Go 2 a salon %26amp; get Sleek by Matrix. It's a full line designed 2 help u acheive sleek, smooth, shiny, healthy hair. U'll also need a flat/straightening iron. If it has a temp setting start out lower 2 find out what temp u need w/o extra damage. For the best results u need 2 use it on small sections. Great products = great hair!

Tips for straightening hair??

boy can i help u, i have natural curly, frizzy hair that when the weather is humid, i just cringe %26amp; my hair curls. i would love walking in the rain if not 4 my hair. really sux. so i do know where u r coming from. i have tried using straightning products %26amp; it grows out 2 fast. so what i have found is that if i use a styling spray (i use aussie mega styling spray) get it anywhere. then i use a true ceramic pro flat iron, that i ordered on line, but i would imagine any ceramic one would work well. then what i do is i dry my hair straight with a round brush. i section it off %26amp; i roll it from the ends %26amp; keep it strait til it is dry. then, i do another section, i section it in 4 sections, each side %26amp; split the middle down the back. then after they r all dry, i section each section into smaller sections, depending how thick ur hair is. then i start from the top %26amp; spray on the styling spray, lightly, then straighten the top %26amp; go over it several times. then i clip it into place %26amp; do the rest of the underneath, the underneath is the most important, as the top will stick out if u do not get the under side smooth. then do it 4 all sections, keeping it very smooth. that should do it. with the ceramic iron, most times u can actually let it get a little damp %26amp; it doesnt do 2 bad. hope this helps, i have had a lot of years experience...

Tips for straightening hair??

you can get a a straightener but then you have to worry about frying your hair....you should try getting sunsilk's straighten up shampoo, conditioner, and 24/7 creme...it works wonders and its really inexpensive so you save big $$$$
