Would "Japanese hair straightening" damage my hair?

I'm curious and interested in doing that. I know it's expensive etc. Actually just wanted to ask if it would be a bad idea for my dry hair.

Thanks for sharing.

Would "Japanese hair straightening" damage my hair?

it really isnt supposed to, but it all depends on the condition of you hair in the beginning....I dont know if i would really trust that technique to anyone other then the people trained to do that technique. Relaxers can be pretty scary, so just be careful and if you deside to do it, make sure your hair is in EXCELLENT condition, no color, perms, or any other chemicals on it...you would want to start out with virgin hair....

It is a really intense process. Remember that nearly anything we do to our hair can damage it to a degree - even brushing, if you brush too hard. Just make sure you find someone who is qualified. This FAQ page might help.
