What are your best hair straightening tips?

alright, my problem is that my extensions and my natural hair don't match. the extensions look amazing and always stay perfectly straight when i straighten them. however, my nautral hair refuses to stay straight. it will look nice and straight for about five minutes before going back to it's natural form. my hair is wavy and kind of poofy, so it looks extremely silly when it decides to disobey my straightening commands.

sooo i'm looking for your best tips for straightening! if there are any products out there that will help me that would be great.

and for the record, my straightener is a really high-quality one.

i straighten my hair everyday and what i usually find helps is to blow-dry it first because that makes it more straight in the first place compared to towel drying it.

to keep your hair non-frizzy use garnier fructis sleek and shine serum, its like $3 and amazing.

after straightening your hair use a hair putty, that seems kinda gross but really works and they're only like $4 at your local drug store.

hope this helps !

wet to dry straighteners are good for non cooperative hair. also finger straightening works well, when you dry your hair with a hair dryer just run your fingers straight through your hair until it gets dry. often your hair tends to be poofy after and that is what you should use the straightener for.

when you are straightening your straighten little bits then blow it dry with cold air

ok try finding a product to put in beforehand to help it hold and blowdry it before you straighten it. put strong hold hairspray in after you finish straightening it (try garnier fructis full control ultra strong). as for the fact that your straightener is really high quality, that doesn't mean anything. i personally have found that the cheaper straighteners without all of the extra things (like drying and straightening your hair at the same time) actually work better than the really expensive ones. i had a fairly expensive one that didnt work that well at all and i returned it and got a cheaper conair one that works about ten times better.

What are your best hair straightening tips?

when u blowdry ur hair use a straightening cream or somethin and also a anti-frizz thing. i use paul mitchell sleek serum or something like that and it is soo awesome. when u straighten ur hair i heard that if you flip your head down adn straighten the bottom part of ur hair it makes it straighter but i never rly tried...

What are your best hair straightening tips?

i have that problem too

thats why i couldnt get extensions. :(

but uhmm

i just use a lot of hairspray

but idk if that works on everybody :/

maybe a type of product that you can use before/while straightening.

hope that helped somehow. :]
