Japanese Hair Straightening/Thermal Reconditioning?

Has anyone done the japanese hair straightening or thermal reconditioning? Do you think it was worth it? Do you miss your curly hair?

Is it easy to take care of?

I'd really appreciate your answers and if there's anything else about it i should know please throw it into your answer =]

I have really thick curly frizzy hair and i'm really considering getting it done.

chemical hair straightning hair is a bad idea as far as im concerned, especially if your hair is frizzy this will dry out your hair and make it frizzier. relish your curls with a good serum or use straightning irons but with a thermal protector.

i havent done it but my friend has and yeah she's always complaining about missing her curly hair and she hates it she says it takes less time to straighten your hair with an iron than to curl it and she wishes she hadn't envied straight haired people cuz theres nothin special about her anymore

also says it makes her hair frizzy

it is easy to take care of, but I'm not sure if it was worth the money or not. I am finally able to keep my hair straight with just a straightener, but the straightening treatment is really pretty.
