my hair is about ___________ that long. when i wash it and dry it with a towel, it goes all fuzzy almost like an afro and it expands. nothing can make it straight. gel and wax make it look silly. a hairdryer helps slightly. any ideas? i want it perfectly straight and not fuzzy

First off wash and condition with products designed to smooth the hair. Then when towel drying the hair, pat it instead of rubbing the towel over it as this will rough up the hair and lead to frizzing. Then you could try a product like Paul Mitchel's "skinny" serum. Its helps to smooth the hair follicle. Then once dry, use a ceramic straightening iron to get it perfectly straight and smooth... hope this helps.
They now make straighteners that are only 1/2 in thick, so they work on hair thats quite short.
