Hello, I recently got my hair japanese striaghtened and there were a few areas where the stylist didnt get right and are still wavy. As this effects the overall result of the hair style, shes asked me to go back in an touch up in a week. I know you are not normally suppose to redo processing on processed hair, but she, as well as two other stylists i know said it was fine. Any other professional or personal experience opinions out there? I think I should do it, to acheive the look I wanted. yet at the same time, always a bit nervous of breakage.
P.S. Im kinda pissed she didnt get it right the first time, but its real hard to find a REAL expert...
Japanese Hair Straightening: Touch-up??
I have a friend who had to go back for a touch-up. She waited a month though before she went back. Now it's 6 months later, and her hair is still beautiful and straight. She said if she didn't go back for a touch-up, it would not look this straight and nice. You have to be careful and not let the stylist redo the whole thing though, just the part that is wavy would be enough. Next time try a Korean or Japanese salon, especially the one that does Japanese Magic Straight Perm.

Go back only if she uses Shiseido. Shiseido is gentle. Don't go with Yuko. It is strong and your hair will break.
