Afro hair straightening...important!!(to me....)?
Constantly realaxing, straightening, and wrapping hair can take a huge toll on the health of your hair. This is why your hair is looking burned, thin, and dull.
My best suggestion is to put down your straightening iron and go to a hairdressers and talk about weaves. You can get them by a professional and it can look totaly natural and amazing (although it will be expensive). Whatever you do, don't go cheap with weaves!! If you do, YOU will just end up looking cheap. Weaves will give you the desired shine and take away the frizz!
If you continue straightening your hair, you will permanently dammage it, so act soon!
Best of luck!

If you have a relaxer %26amp; your hair doesn't seem to be growing normally then I's suggest going natural by growing your hair out for a fresh start.... I have afro hair as well and I used to just get cornrows to grow my hair back out after it was damaged. You can also massage your head everyday to get the roots stimulated if you want to go natural ...Hope this helped :)

Your ends were damage when the relaxer was added. Or you use the wrong strength. Try using a deep conditioner or just clip the damage off.

You should go to a professional for at least the next two or three times you need to wash your hair. Let them DEEP CONDITION your hair and trim the dead ends off. Other than cutting your hair completely off and starting over naturally I don't know what else to suggest. But I'll try. First, change your diet. Drink ALOT of water and add omega fatty acids that you find in salmon into your diet. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Second, wash your hair once a week and moisturize it two or three times a week. Be sure and oil your scalp well. Third, keep the heat off of it. DO NOT use mousse when wrapping it. Mousse is a volumizer and will not work well on afro type hair when trying to wrap it. Fourth, I wouldn't suggest wrapping afro hair as it will get tangled in the process. Last, I would recommend going to a professional hair braider and getting it cornrowed or even getting kinky twists for several months while your hair recovers from all the chemicals and heat. When I was tired of having damaged hair, I cut it all off and started from the beginning. I then got kinky twists in my hair through the summer and got them done once a month washing and oiling in between. After that for two weeks I had cornrows and I oiled them everyday and washed them twice a week. After I took the cornrows out, my natural hair was so silky and shiny, not because of the texture, but because it was healthy. I prefer relaxed hair to an afro, so I relaxed it. After that I wrap it every night and tie it down with a scarf and everytime I wash it I wrap it with hair serum. I oil it three times a week and when I wake up in the morning I just comb my fingers through it and go to work. I don't even use a flat iron or a blow dryer anymore and it has made a tremendous difference. Good luck, hope this helps!
