Good products for straightening hair at home? Give me some names of irons..?

What can I do at home that gives me the "salon straightened" look? I hate forking money every week and spending an hour or 2 at the salon to get it straightened out..It's just that when I do it at home, the results aren't as good but maybe I just have a lousy cheap straightener?

What's the name of a straightener that's good and what product can you use on your hair to make it soft and silky (like they do at a hair place).

Most salons use the GHD (good hair day) straightener. It's generally considered to be the absolutely best out there.

The only salons I know that don't use the GHD, openly admit they've swapped to a cheaper and almost as good option.

chi flat iron and chi products. AMAZING!

use them in the salon i work at.

you could also try a rusk flat iron, i use one at home and i like it almost as much as the chi i use at work

What i do is i use a leave-in conditioner from pantene pro-v. u spray it in ur hair when its wet and then brush ur hair. when ur hair is dry i use this wet2straight iron. its ceramic so its not BAD for ur hair and its really good. its from Revlon which is a good brand

a lot of it depends on the way you blow dry your hair. first apply whatever product you use to your hair. section your hair in 1 to 2 inch sections at the nape. use a flat brush and follow the brush with blow dryer in smooth motions to the floor until that section is dry. keep moving up the head in 1 to 2 inch sections until you are done. it sounds like a lot of work but it really isnt. after drying use a good flat iron. wet to straight is a good flat iron that you can buy at walmart for less than $30 and its not damaging to your hair.
