So I want to know if any of you out there know any tps or products about keeping your hair straight? And still being able to wash it and have it dry straight naturaly??? Thanks so much

I have hopelessly curly hair. Hopelessly. I straighten my hair daily with a CHI flat iron, and it's not as terrible as everyone makes it out to be. Use a heat protectant such as the one manufactured by CHI or go to your salon [or walmart, whatever] and get a product specified to protect your hair against heat. Curls can form after your hair is straightened because of a lack of moisture leads hair to absorb humidity from the air, so make sure you have a good conditioner that you use, preferrably only on the bottom half or 3/4ths of your hair. Try a straightening conditioner and shampoo duo. I haven't had much luck with straightening products unless I actually blow-dry my hair, so I can't offer you much help in that department without just saying "go get it chemically straightened." If you have a few minutes with a blowdryer and it's really only damage that you're worried about, slather on some heat protectant and a straightening product and use a round brush to pull hair taut while blowdrying. for extra volume, blowdry roots upside down and finish with a burst of cold air from your blowdryer to seal the cuticle and prevent frizzing and curls later.

Products I use/reccomend:

Got2B for a straightening serum (smells like fruit loops! :D)

Sunsilk's HAIRapy line. I use the No Major Issues shampoo and Moisture-rich conditioner.

Tresemme has an amazing miniline of heat protectants, as does V05.

Most of these can be found at WalMart, Target, or other department stores.

get a straighening shampoo

When you dry your hair use a a paddle brush to make it straight. That only makes my hair a little straighter, but then you could buy some spray that you put in your hair to keep the flat iron from damaging it. Then just use your flat iron to straighten the rest. I hope this helped.

while your hair is drying, just keep brushing it straight. I have wavy hair and this works pretty well, just the ends kind of sway out, so i use some hair wax and brush it out straight.

and use a hemp straightening shampoo, thats what i use

I have curly hair too and the only thing that ever worked for me was the flat iron. But to keep it from damaging your hair, try working in some hair product with a silicon base like Biosilk. The silicate will coat your hair and protect it from the heat while also setting the straight style. It worked great for me and my hair felt very soft, sleek and shiny.
