good luck with the straightening.
Hair straightening!?
Is your hair really thick? it could be that reason why its not staying straight, my was it kept going wavy, until i got my hands on a pair of thinning scissors now , my hair is perfect.
or maybe when you are straighting it, your straighting to much at one time, make sure your using little strands.
Hair straightening!?
get it permanently straightened
... it think its expensive though and it takes a while to get it done but once it is you dont have to worry about straightning it til it grows out :)
Hair straightening!?
Use a fine tooth comb while you're straightening your hair. Pass it through your hair first and then immediately straighten it with a straightening iron. Also try Herbal Essence's Dangerously Straight Pin Straight Hairspray. Spray it on each section before straightening it, and then spray a mist over entire style after you're finished.

try to use a wax or a gel.. put a little and it will stay in place...

Hair straightening!?
split your hair into 4 sections. Clip the front 2 up and tie one of the back ones up also. Then get the back section that you haven't tied up and straighten that slowly. Do the top and bottom layers separately if you have thick enough hair. Make sure you start from as close to your head as possible.
Repeat with the other back section. Then do the front sections one at a time. They are the most important parts to get right.
I would also reccommend a good styling and heat protective spray- tresseme have some nice ones. After you arefinoshed, spray hair all over with a generous amount of strong hold hairspray like Bumble and Bumble. Make sure, as well as spraying the top, you lift up hair and spray a hit underneath and at the back- this helps the bottom layer stay straight, even if the top gets blown about a bit...
Good luck! If you still have trouble, ask your hairdresser to show you next time you go.
Hair straightening!?
do it partially and use a gel.

well use a hair straightener....if u want it to stay long here are the steps:
Take a shower using any shampoo and conditioner. Remember to always use a conditioner so your hair doesn't dry out from the straightener.
Wrap your wet hair in a towel for five minutes.
After five minutes take the towel off and comb your hair using a detangling (or wide-tooth) comb.
Apply straightening balm. Make sure to cover all areas of your hair.
Comb your hair every 30 minutes until dry.
Straighten your hair section by section using a flat iron.
Lightly spray on hairspray.
Spray the hairspray onto your palm and apply it to those hard-to-reach areas such as the bottom layer of your hair.
