S Magic Straightening?
I'm a white female who has EXTREMELY frizzy and super tight curls. My hair has tons of body and I really don't like it. I've been looking into magic straightening since a few years ago I got the regular chemical straightening and it didn't do anything to my hair at all. Do you think Magic straight will work for me? Also, do you have to blow dry your hair after you wash it after you get magic straightening done? I want no frizz and no curls what so ever. It would be okay to maybe have a wave, but NO curls. I also have low lights. The straightening solution is only on the ends of my hair, since I recently got it cut to just above my shoulders. My hair also has extremely short layers that I dislike greatly. So, will magic straight work for me?
Thanks in advance,
Isa

I haven't used it, but I can recommend some things.
First of all, I went to Wal-Mart, and in the clearance aisle, they had a ceramic straightener for 12 dollars. It works like a charm. However, sometimes if it leaves some strands frizzy or stray, what I recommend using is either:
Garnier Frizz Ease (green round short container)
or
Herbal Essences None Of Your Frizziness (orange container, long, round)
Good luck!!!

I dont know about the brand "magic straight" specifically, BUT I have had japanese hair straight perm AKA thermal reconditioning done and I can not say enough positive about it. The brand that was used on my hair was LISCIO and the process took about 4 hours. It cost $400 the first time but when I go back she charges $350. For me my hair was mostly frizzy and wavy in the back, not curly, so I can go longer between treatments. I dont have curly roots on the top and front of my head. My hair remains straight and does not go back to wavy frizzy. I live in an envoriment with no air conditioning and blow drying my hair is out of the question, so I always let my hair air dry and it looks like I got a professional blow out every day. - Oh yeah, I stretch it out as far as I can between treatments, I can usually make it about 10 months but would go more often if the process were cheaper. Think about it $350 / 10 months is $35 a month. A little more than $1 a day for hair you can just wash and go. No blow drying, straight/flat irons, no frizzs, not worring about getting caught in the rain, the list can go on and on.
Ok, another thing - I have heard about people getting their scalp burned. I think that could be just people with sensitive skin because my stylist actually rubbed the solution on my scalp and there were no problems, nor did my hair fall out (another thing I have read people say).
Lastly, don't listen to people who suggest saving money and getting a straightening iron, they dont know what they are missing, how much easier their life will be etc. Plus, if it rains you are not going to carry your straightener with you.
Imagine going on vacation and someone says lets go to the pool/beach after you just blew dry your hair and straightened it, you would say no way BUT with straight perm, you would say I will race you there!
GO FOR IT! It will change your life.

uhhmmm duh! of course you have to blow dry your hair after you apply any sort of straightener to your hair! that's when you comb it and mold it.
(unless you're using a relaxer. those are really agressive just by themselves)
you should just flat iron your hair and deep condition it so it doesn't die
i found this great recipe for a treatment to put on your hair:
Hot Oil Hair Treatment
21 min 1 min prep
Change to: treatment US Metric
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
2-3 drops essential oils
Put honey, oil and essential oil in a plastic bag.
Twist but don't tie.
Pour boiling water in a mug.
Add plastic bag to mug until it warms up.
Apply gently to wet hair.
Don't pour it on your head, put the mixture on your hands and apply to all of your hair.
Wrap up your hair with a showercap, a towel or cling wrap.
Jump in the bath or shower.
Wait twenty minutes, then rinse and wash hair normally.
it worked for me, i hope it works for you!
