I've been saving up for a Chi hair straightening tool, because it is advertises in stores as being the best hair straightening tool on the market. Has anyone had any experience using Chi hair straightening tools themselves(Please exclude salon experiences)? Do you know of any other hair straightening tools that work just as well, if not better?(Again exclude salon experiences.) I have really thick, coarse and wavy hair and I often dye my hair at home...normally I dye it red with an 8-10 shampoo rinse. I have a Vidal Sasoon straightening tool and I've had it for 2 years, but it doesn't get my hair as straight as I'd like it to be. Are there any really good straightening tools on the market for less than $100, or even $50? (Oh and yes I do from time to time use a straightening product such as gel, or cream when I use the straightening tool.) Thank you in advance for your answers.

I've heard many good things about Chi appliances, but if you're looking for something less expensive, Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Iron is a good buy. I have a 1" iron by Hot Tools and my hair is always stick straight and shiny. For your hair I'd recommend a bigger plated iron like 1 1/2" which Hot Tools also makes. They run between $40-$50.

go for the chi, its worth it

Revlon has a couple of great straighteners, especially the ceramic one, all for under 100 bucks. The difference between these and professional straighteners are that they can't work with humidity as well as the expensive ones. I find that learning to blow hair straight with a hair dryer, and then using the Revlon hair straightener gives the same results as the pricey ones. I do recommend investing in an expensive hair straightener though, it makes it way easier.

TrueCeramicPro
It is fantastic...you only have to pass it through one time per section of hair and it doesnt damage your hair so bad....it leaves my hair silky smooth
you dont have to use a product if you dont want to but I use biosilk because it is healthy for my hair and doesnt makes my hair greasy, dry, or anything like that
It is around $50-60
whatever you get...make sure it is ceramic and ionic
