Hair straightening .. =]?
I had the same problem. When I used a straightening iron my hair was super straight and dull. Then I started using a round curling brush and a hair dryer. Seperate your hair (top from bottom layers) by using hair clips. Brush from the under side of your hair (to the end of you hair) and hold the hair straight with the brush then use the blow dryer to dry it straight. Do the bottom layer first and finish with the top layer this will get you some bounce and volume. I hope I didn't confuse you but if you get what I mean, this really works.

probably takes longer, but try blow drying/brushing it straight.

there isnt Much you can do.
but you can put hair serum in it.
i use biosilk hair serum.
it makes it shiny, and less dull.
you can also scrunch your hair with your hands to give it more volume.
goodluck

Do you use a flatiron when you straighten??
You can use a volumizing mousse or spray before blow-drying to help with volume. I love Aveda Pure Abundance hair powder for volume. You sprinke it into your scalp and massage it into your hair before blow-drying, and it gives incredible volume. You could also apply this to your roots and then a shine enhancing cream or straghtener to your ends. I use Aveda's hang straight along with the powder, and I get volume at the roots, but smooth hair at the ends. I finish with a dab of John Freida's Secret Weapon cream on my ends to prevent fly aways and give shine.

I would get some volumizing spray and moose. When you get out of the shower, spray your roots and then add moose to your ends. When you blow dry your hair bend over and pull your roots up. You don't have to be bent over for very long. Maybe for a minute or two. When you get ready to straighten your hair do it like you usually would. The things that you did during blow drying should add volume to your hair.
